It's the Great Pumpkin

I seem to be a little backed up on my pictures. These are from the pumpkin patch at the preschool where we always go to pick the perfect pumpkins. A few weeks later we carved.
This year Anna drew the eyes, Lily did the elephant trunk nose, and Nick took care of creating the perfect mouth. It looks pretty cute. I mostly just took pictures.
This is a picture of everyone "helping" draw the face on the pumpkin. The kids got a hold of the camera during the gutting and this is the picture they took. It is the inside of the pumpkin.
The kids each took a turn actually carving the pumpkin. Don't worry they were using a kid friendly, but useful pumpkin carving knife.
The final product:
They had a fun time. Next up, Halloween! We are so excited.

Very Important Stuff

I am so excited. There is one good thing about this yucky economy. Gas is now less than $3! I got it for $2.94. Normally, gas this high wouldn't deserve its own post, but this time it does. I hope all of you are enjoying the low gas prices. Maybe this will drop the price of groceries as well.

Surprise, surprise

I guess it is time for another blog entry. We have been doing all of the normal things around here. Nick is still busy with school, music lessons, and Wii skill mastery. Anna is a social butterfly and enjoying tennis lessons. Lily is again taking swimming lessons and is finally after many tries getting the hang of it. Ben is studying nonstop for his Surveying license test. He takes it next week and is very busy getting ready for it. We are enjoying the fall weather here in Colorado. It is such a beautiful time of year. Colorado trees are the best in the fall. Oh yeah, we are expecting a baby. Just thought I would throw that in. We are excited to welcome a new member to our family next April. I am about 12 weeks along and feeling miserably sick. So, I am spending a lot of time trying to not throw up. It isn't really working. The kids are really happy, but they wish their mom was feeling better, and that their house wasn't so dirty. We will keep you posted with any news.
