Christmas

We had a nice, quiet Christmas Eve. I think the kids had their jammies on at 5:00 or so. They were so excited. We had a quick dinner and then drove around and looked at Christmas lights. We read from the Bible and then drank some hot chocolate. We put out the cookies and milk, and then off to bed. The boys slept terrible. Mom and dad got very little sleep, but we were still happy for Christmas.
A friend of ours dresses like Santa and visits peoples houses on Christmas Eve. Notice Jack screaming.
The rest of the pictures are from Christmas morning. They are in no special order.

Here Comes Santa Claus

Today Anna, Lily, Jack, and I visited a local nursery. They had a very cute Santa, live reindeer, and hay rides. They had many beautiful Christmas trees. All of this was free. They wanted you to buy a tree or at least and an ornament. We didn't buy anything, but we had a great time. Jack fell asleep while we were waiting to see Santa. I just love this picture. So cute!
Here is another picture of him napping while visiting with Santa.
The reindeer were very fun, but we didn't want to get too close with those big horns.
We (especially Lily) had fun on the hayride.
I am so glad we visited this Christmas wonderland. Who knew such fun things were less than 5 minutes from our house.

November

I can't believe November has already come and gone. It has been a busy, fun month. The kids are doing all things school. Nick's soccer season went unusually late because of the terrible weather in October. And we are on to planning for Christmas.

We had a great Thanksgiving feast at Kathy's house. We shared it with 39 friends and family. It was a wild bunch. I think everyone had a good time, and ate more than enough. I didn't get too many pictures, but here are a few.
Ben had a nice nap with the babies. That is his cousin's baby, Sam, and Jack. This is what happens in front of the football game after dinner.
We played games after clean up. Here is the Catch Phrase group.

Ben's birthday is on November 27. We did a big cookie cake thing the Sunday after. Here is the family enjoying the treat.

We had a Tenney Family first today. Ben put lights on the outside of the house to decorate for Christmas. So pretty! The kids are so excited. Thanks Ben!

Happy Halloween

Halloween is my second favorite holiday. It is so fun to dress up and eat lots of candy! The kids had a few snow days during the week, so we weren't sure how the weather would be for the big night. It turned out to be great trick or treat weather and the kids had a great time.
We carved pumpkins Thursday night after being stuck in our house for two days. I think they turned out pretty well.

We had a fun Trunk or Treat Friday night at the church. It got cancelled in the morning because the parking lot was a sheet of ice, but by the afternoon we were good to go. The kids had fun and got lots of candy.

Halloween night Nick went to a party at a friend's house. I didn't get any pictures of him, but he wore the same construction worker get up as the night before. Lily and Anna went out with Ben, and Jack and I handed out candy at home. So fun. We all had a great night. Anna was a beautiful witch, Lily was Dorthy from the Wizard of Oz and Jack was a little giraffe. CUTE!
This is the only picture I got of the after Halloween loot. I think that we may have broken a record for most candy brought in. Yeah! I took this picture of Jack this morning. Isn't he so cute? Check out those legs. We love our chubby guy. We also want to say congratulations to Mary, Juston, and Frankie on their newest edition. Harper Ruth Rindlesbach was born October 30. We are so excited for you! Hooray for babies!
