October Snow Day

For the last two days it has been snowing. We have almost 2 feet in our backyard. The kids have been home from school driving each other crazy. The best part about a snow day is playing in the snow. Here are some pictures of our fall storm. Note that our fence is 5 feet tall.

Mid-October Update (Exciting Title, huh?)

We have been VERY busy recently. Our lives seem like they are nonstop go, go, go. Recently, after much contemplation and stress we decided to change Nick and Lily's school. There have been tears (mostly me) and nervousness (Nick). We are now about a month in and we are all much more relaxed. The are loving the new school and Anna is glad to stay put. It is more driving for me, but I think it is going to work out for the best. They now have to wear a uniform. Here is a picture of the first day of "uniform school".

Sadly, this is the best picture I got. Thanks Lily.

We took our yearly trip to the pumpkin patch. Because of our bad planning, it was cold and rainy. I still got a few pictures. Nick was standing in front of a scarecrow in every picture I took of the kids. He looks like he is wearing a hat. Kind of silly. Jack is starting to sit, so we got this cute picture of him among the pumpkins. So sweet.

Jack has starting eating solid foods. He loves to eat and is so excited every time we put him in the high chair. Here he is after enjoying some cereal and bananas. Yum-o!

Lily's 6th Birthday Party

Better late than never. Lily had fun party for her birthday at our house. It was wild, crazy, and LOUD! 16 kindergartners is about 10 too many. Lesson learned. She had a good time, and I guess that is all that matters.
This is the kids waiting to have a go at the pinata. They look very focused. We had a good time, but I think we will go smaller next year. She already planning.
