First Day of School Version 2009

Welcome to the land of year round school. The kids started school this week. It is a big year for us. Nick is in his last year of elementary, 6th grade. That makes me feel really old. Anna started 4th grade, and Lily is in kindergarten. Nick and Anna went to school on Monday. Here are their pictures.

Anna is going to have a really special year for 4th grade. Her Aunt Karen is her teacher. Here is a cute picture I got with the two of them. I didn't want it to be obvious that I was taking a picture of Karen, but I think it turned out cute. Lily started school on Wednesday. She was so excited and had no problems being without mom. I was a little sad, but she is so ready.
Lily posed with Jack before we left for school. He slept through the whole thing. She was really excited to go as you can tell from the next picture.
She got to take her favorite animal to school as a transition item for the first day. She picked Ellie, of course. I think this picture is so sweet.
We are now 4 days in. I am just now starting to get into the swing of things. It is nice to have a few quiet hours every day. I am getting lots of snuggle time with little Jack before the craziness of afternoon and evening activities take over. I am so proud of the children my babies have become. It is so fun to watch them learn and grow.

Jack's Blessing Day

"I am so excited for everyone to see my cuteness!"

We had a great day on Sunday. Little Jack had his blessing at church. My mom and dad came in for the weekend and we had LOTS of Ben's family here for the blessing. With everyone dressed up it was a great time to take lots of pictures.

Isn't he a sweet baby? He is still growing so fast. He is a great sleeper and a really good addition to our family.
This is a picture of Jack with his 3rd cousins. They are all within a month of each other. Aren't they so cute. It is Jack, Corbin, and Sophia. Sophia slept right through her photo shoot.

It was lots of fun for Jack to spend time with his grandma and grandpa. Thanks for coming to visit! We had a great time with you.

Independence Day

We had a great 4th of July. My parents were in town for Jack's blessing and we did all of our normal HR things. This is us waiting for the parade to start.Enjoying snow cones. Yummy!A cold front blew in during the afternoon. We had chilly fireworks show. Nick loved setting the fireworks off.Look how bundledup grandma and Jack were. Mom said it would never be this cold on the 4th in Texas. I agree. We had areally good day.

Yo Ho, Yo Ho A Pirate's Life for Me

I have finally found a cord that would allow me to hook my camera to my computer! Yeah, that means a new post or two, or three. We went to a small waterpark last week. It is called Pirate's Cove. Jack and I sat in the shade while the big kids played with each other and their dad.

You can tell Jack really enjoyed himself.

Here are some more recent pictures.

Aren't my boys cute?
