Fun Times

We had a busy weekend. On Friday we had a kids talent show at the church. It is always fun and the kids have a great time. Anna being the artist that she is, painted a landscape. Here is a picture of her posing with her painting. Nick did a skit with his scout pack. The pictures didn't turn out very well, but it was funny and the boys had fun performing it. Thanks Karen.

Lily and some of her friends danced. Lily was so excited to be on stage. A big thanks to Elena for putting this together. It is really cute. That is her on the front left.

We woke up Saturday morning to a very sick boy. He had a fever, coughing, a very red throat, and a rash on his head and abdomen. Ben took him to the doctor and came home with a diagnosis of strep throat and a prescription for antibiotics. He is still fighting it, poor thing. He has been miserable. Lily woke up Sunday with the coughing and fever and is now on antibiotics as well. She is doing a little bit better than Nick. I just hope that no one else gets it.

Anna is now 9 years old. Yesterday she had an okay birthday. On Saturday we went to a carnival to help raise money for someone with breast cancer. There was a great turnout. I am sure that lots of money was raised for a good cause. The girls had a great time. Here are a couple of pictures from that.

After the carnival, Anna and I got pedicures to celebrate her birthday. We had a great time being pampered. She is a fun girl to hang out with. I love having girls to girly things with! In the evening she got to go out to dinner with dad. We are glad that we have such a loving, sweet girl in our family. Sunday was her actual birthday, but we didn't do much. She went to church while Nick and Lily laid around sick all day. We did have cake and ice cream. Yummy! So, as you can tell we have been busy! I hope our recovery is quick.
